Prosecution: Muamer Zukorlic died a natural death
An autopsy report showed that Muamer Zukorlic died a natural death, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Pazar has announced.
According to a statement, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Pazar, acting on a criminal complaint filed by Usame Zukorlic against unidentified persons, ordered an exhumation in order to conduct an autopsy of Muamer Zukorlic's body, as well as chemical and toxicological analyses of the biological remains, to determine the cause of death.
Yesterday, the Institute for Forensic Medicine in Nis submitted a joint finding and opinion to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Pazar, together with the findings and opinion of the Institute for Protection of Workers' Health from Novi Sad.
It is stated that the measured values of concentrations of toxic metals and metalloids in the samples were within normal values for these types of samples and did not represent a direct or indirect cause of acute and chronic intoxication and thus have not caused the death of Muamer Zukorlic.
It is further stated that the death was of a "natural origin" and that it occurred as a consequence of a sudden deterioration of function and consequent cessation of heart function, as a result of a previously present severe and progressive heart disease.
