Works on the facade of the Belgrade Tower, the tallest building in Serbia and the region, have been completed with the installation of a specially designed "curtain wall" on the roof.

The facade is composed of almost 14,000 glass and other panels, while a special "birds first" glass with lines visible only to birds, which help them not fly into the building, has been installed up to the ninth floor.

Another special feature of the facade glass is that it is spectrally selective, i.e. it lets light through to maximum degree, while reducing energy loss, the Belgrade Waterfront company has announced.

The complete facade system was specially designed and manufactured for this building, bearing in mind that the Belgrade Tower is one of the few buildings in Europe that achieves a rotation of 90 degrees through only 10 floors.

This is especially pronounced in the part where the Tower "bends", so the facade glass is curved there. The rotated silhouette symbolically represents the nearby confluence of the Sava and the Danube rivers, and gives the building an impression of fluidity.

The Belgrade Tower is also specific for the modern technology that is installed in the facade. Thanks to the media feature, at the beginning of the year, important dates and events were marked on the Belgrade Tower with specially designed content, and this will be done going forward as well. The length of the LED lamps that make up the media facade is more than eight kilometers, and the bulbs are energy efficient and extremely long-lasting.

In the Belgrade Tower, the first 11 floors are planned for St. Regis Belgrade, the most luxurious brand from the portfolio of the famous Marriott International hotel and residential chain; the first St. Regis branded luxury apartments in this part of Europe will be located from the 14th to the 39th floor. The 13th floor, where no one will be able stay, is intended for technical premises.

Instead of the 13th floor, a double level is planned on the 12th floor, and this number is not on the control panel of any of the 15 elevators in the building. According to a study done by the biggest elevator manufacturer in New York, the 13th floor is left out of the control panel in elevators in almost 90 percent of all hotels.

Apart from the residents and guests of the hotel, citizens and tourists will be able to enjoy the Belgrade Tower in the restaurant on the observation deck on the 41st floor that is reached in just 25 seconds. After 26 of the most exclusive destinations in the world, Marriott International recognized Belgrade Waterfront as an ideal place for the first branded luxury apartments in Europe, "The Residences at The St. Regis."There are only six St. Regis hotels in all of Europe.
