Lo Cascio: Serbia's key role in preserving peace in the Western Balkans
During Monday's meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Italian Ambassador Carlo Lo Cascio stressed the key role of Serbia in preserving peace and stability in the Western Balkans, as evidenced by the upcoming visit of the Italian foreign minister.
He also congratulated President Vucic on the results that our country is achieving in challenging times, protecting state interests and advancing on the European path, the press service of the president of Serbia announced.
President of Serbia received the Italian ambassador in a farewell visit and thanked him for his activity and commitment to do much for the development of political dialogue and economic cooperation between the two countries, which are also strategic partners.
Ambassador Lo Cascio thanked President Vucic for his personal support, as well as the support of the Serbian authorities, while performing his duties in the past four years.
Ambassador Lo Cascio stressed the key role of Serbia in preserving peace and stability in the Western Balkans, which is very important for Italy because of its proximity to the region.
President Vucic said he was satisfied that some of the most important investors are coming from Italy, as our first-class economic partner.
The two interlocutors pointed out that, in addition to political and economic cooperation, Serbia and Italy have an interest in the development of any other form of cooperation, to the benefit of both countries, especially in the field of education and culture.
