Motive behind Rakovica murder: Nephew refused to give suspect money for cryptocurrency mining, he shot him
Zoran R. (54) shot and killed his nephew Milos T. (32), in whose house he lived. The murder happened last night after a short argument, and according to unofficial information from sources from the investigation, the altercation took place because the victim refused to give the suspected killer money through cryptocurrency mining.
"The murder victim M.T. worked together with the suspect, Z.R. on mining cryptocurrencies and allegedly refused to give him money. The suspect in the murder called the police around midnight and reported that he had killed his landlord. He did not resist arrest. There were two police warrants for his arrest, one for serving a seven-year prison sentence and another for six months," our source told us.
As stated, after an altercation, he shot Milos T. dead around midnight last night in a house in Rakovica, after which the police arrested him.
The suspect is now detained for up to 48 hours, after which he will be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office along with a criminal complaint.
An ambulance crew could only pronounce the victim dead when they arrived at the scene last night.
