Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said over the weekend that he would most likely talk to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Wednesday or Thursday.

He told TV Pink that he expects a good conversation and that there are three things that are most important when it comes to the gas arrangement.

"For us, the most important are the quantities, then the price, and the security of supply, with which we have not had any problems so far. The first two aspects are key," said Vucic.

Vucic, who on earlier on Saturday opened the International Agriculture Fair in Novi Sad together with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban said that friendship with Hungary is essential for Serbia, and that there is no reason for the two countries to worry about food supply.

"Meaningless repeat elections for the sake of others, not the SNS"

President Aleksandar Vucic said that the state parliament has not been constituted yet, that is, that the final results of the (April 3) elections have not been announced yet because some are asking for "meaningless repeat of voting."

"Why don't we have a parliament yet? Because they asked us to allow for meaningless repeat of voting as long as they like to harass us. And that is not being done by the party I lead, but by others," Vucic told TV Pink.

He added that everyone has the right to do so, in accordance with regulations, which, he said, the opposition itself insisted on.

"For us, the election results are as clean as a whistle. We believe that citizens sent a clear message of what they think or expect. We are in a hurry, but what can you do... It's easy to criticize, and it's difficult to do something," said Vucic and added that he does not want to insult anyone or say bad words about anyone, because there is a lot of work to be done and problems to solve that he believes the state will succeed at.

"BiH imposed sanctions against Russia, Dodik and RS had no say"

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said that Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) imposed sanctions against Russia, giving a positive opinion against Russia on all 23 declarations, but that he did not think that it had anything to do with the Serb Republic (RS, the Serb entity in BiH).

"That's the way sanctions are introduced, but I don't think it has anything to do with the RS, I don't think (Milorad) Dodik did anything there or is guilty of, nor the RS, they just didn't ask them," Vucic told TV Pink.

He stressed that Serbia, on the other hand, did not accept any of the 23 declarations against Russia.

He explained that these are not special decisions of the government or the president of Serbia, but decisions made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which announce whether a certain country is joininig restrictive measures or not.

"We tried to make decisions in accordance with our interests. I am expecting many more visits, not to say, pressure, so you won't believe what kind of things we will have in Belgrade in the next month. It will be very interesting and useful for all of us, if we persevere," said Vucic.
