Reports about bombs allegedly planted in schools in Serbia continue to arrive, and today, after Nis, Ruma, Indjija, Stara Pazova and Novi Sad, they were received by three primary schools in Vranje. One of those schools is attended by children who fled the war in Ukraine. The schools Radoje Domanovic, Vuk Karadzic and Branko Radicevic were affected.

An anonymous report arrived to the Radoje Domanovic Elementary School. Both the employees and children were evacuated from the institution. The police were in the vicinity of the school and did not allow access, while counter-sabotage police teams were inside the school determining the accuracy of the information received.

What sets this school apart is that it is attended by children who have fled Ukraine, and are accommodated in the only shelter set up for them in Serbia.

"As soon as the school administration called and said that a bomb threat had arrived, the employees of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration immediately went to pick up the (Ukrainian) children and took them to the reception center, so that everything concerning them is in the best order. In addition to that school, children from Ukraine also attend a high school in Vranje," the Commissariat told Telegraf.rs.

The report about a planted bomb also reached the Vuk Karadzic Elementary School. Parents were immediately called to pick up the children, and police teams went to the scene. The facilities were secured and children and employees evacuated.

The police are searching all the schools in Vranje and the surroundings that have received bomb threats.

Three fully equipped teams from the Emergency Medical Service of the Vranje Healthcare Center joined the patrols of the Vranje Police Administration and were at the said schools.
