Sormaz: Dacic, Vulin and Djilas have no place in new Serbian government

Member of the Main Board of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Dragan Sormaz said that the next Serbian government must be pro-European and that there is no place in it for the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and the Movementof Socialists (PS) led by Aleksandar Vulin, nor for the Party of Freedom and Justice (SPP) of Dragan Djilas, although Djilas does advocate in favor of sanctions against Russia and Serbia joining the EU.

"I don't think they have a place in the government. The SPP did nothing to deserve a place in the government either. After all, the SPS will raise its hand in favor of sanctions just to sit in the government. That does not make a government pro-European, instead dedicated work on changes in society that would quickly lead us to EU membership does," Sormaz said in an interview with Danas.

He said that he was not surprised that he would not return to the new parliament as an MP, because his views bother "many in the party, some coalition partners, and the Russians."

Sormaz believes it is time for him to become part of the future executive branch.

"My relationship with American ambassadors, congressmen, officials, senators, has been at a very high level for a decade, you can see for yourselves their relationship with me, it's not up to me to comment," said Sormaz.
