Video of new suicide attempt in central Belgrade: Man tries to jump over underpass fence, people hold him back

Another, bizarre suicide attempt, was recorded last night at dusk in the wider city center.

A man was determined in jumping over the fence of the underpass in Dimitrija Tucovica Street, from a rather great height.

Citizens gathered around him, but also the police, and together they managed to deter him from a crazed attempt to jump that would endanger not only his life, but also the safety of the drivers passing through Dimitrija Tucovica Street.

The man was saved at the last minute, because the video sent to us by a reader shows how he had already stepped over the massive concrete fence with one foot.

An ambulance crew also intervened.

There was also a risk of electrocution at this spot, from the trolleybus contact network located in the underpass.
