Petkovic: Whom does it suit to blame Serbs from the north of Kosovo and Metohija?
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic today condemned the attack on the Kosovo police vehicle near Zubin Potok and stressed that raising tensions in the north of Kosovo and Metohija has nothing to do with Serbs.
"We strongly condemn the attack on the KPS vehicle, as well as any previous attempt to endanger peace and stability," Petkovic wrote on Twitter.
He stressed that raising tensions on the ground, especially in the north, has nothing to do with Serbs.
"But it has to do with the need of many to paint Serbs in the north in a bad light. Ask yourself - whom does this suit," Petkovic wrote.
The Kosovo police announced earlier that early this morning in the village of Zupce in Zubin Potok, a patrol was attacked with a firearm, that no one was injured in the attack, but that there was material damage.
The police said that in cooperation with the judiciary, they were undertaking investigative actions in connection to the case of the attack on the "border patrol" as well as that police measures have been strengthened to ensure the safety of police officers and citizens.
Pristina also reported attacks on the Kosovo police on several occasions last month, accusing Belgrade of those attacks.
