Davor sentenced to 36 years, and Maja to 40: Epilogue of quadruple murder that shook Serbia
Davor Pernic was sentenced today in the Higher Court in Zajecar to 36 years in prison, while Maja Badjikic received a sentence of 40 years for the quadruple murder that happened in Jabukovac three years ago.
At the beginning of August 2019, Raja Kazimirovic, his mother Dragica, sister Ljubinka Oprikic and niece Dragana Jozeljic were all murdered.
Prosecutor Ksenija Brankovic suggested to the court that Maja Badjikic be sentenced to 40 years in prison, and Davor Pernic to 35, not because he is less guilty, but because he was manipulated by the abuse of the purest human emotion to do what he did.
The indictment charges Maja with killing Dragica Kazimirovic (93) with shots from a small-caliber rifle, and shooting her son Raja to the head to make sure he's dead, while Pernic was charged with killing Raja's sister Ljubinka Oprikic (76) and her daughter Dragana Jozeljic (53) using a Skorpion gun.
