"A hybrid war is being waged against Serbia because Serbia has an independent policy and because we have not and will not impose sanctions against the Russian Federation. This is how they are punishing us. We have information about who is behind these attacks," Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin told Happy TV this morning, asked to comment on security threats and pressure on Serbia arriving through reports about bombs allegedly planted on planes, and since yesterday, in shopping malls.

The minister stressed that this is a pure economic attack.

"When you close a mall, by the time you check everything, by the time you bring people back, the day is lost. No one will shop in that mall, you will avoid going there. Serious economic damage is being done. This is an economic war being waged against us," said Vulin.

He stressed that the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) reacts to every report and that in the future it will try to act more preventively and to inspect shopping centers before they open.

"If you see more police officers in shopping malls, it's not because there is a problem, but because we are taking care of your safety," the minister told citizens.

Vulin claims that this is a hybrid war against our country, and pointed out that it is being waged both from the territory of the EU and from the territory of Ukraine.

"The last attack (fake tip-off) came from a server in Switzerland. These are the countries whose territory is used for hybrid attacks against our country. We have knowledge of who is behind these attacks, we can prove some things, we cannot prove others. We turned to those countries, we turned to the international community to help us and tell us about things that are coming from their territory. I repeat once again, several EU countries, and one in particular, Ukraine, and the last time, yesterday, Switzerland," claims Vulin.

Vulin: Serbia the only in Europe that has not imposed sanctions against Russia

Speaking for Happy TV, Interior Minister and leader of the Movement of Socialists Aleksandar Vulin stressed that Serbia is the only country in Europe that has not imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation, and that Serbia headed by President Aleksandar Vucic will not join the "anti-Russian hysteria."

Vulin said that Russia stood with Serbia in key historical moments and that Serbia is an independent state that is not renouncing its centuries-old friends.

"All the enemies of Serbia are always trying to use the opportunity when Russia is somewhere far away and busy with its own problems. At key historical moments, Russia stood with us, including in 2015, when Great Britain wanted to pass a (UN) resolution saying that Serbs are a genocidal people. Serbs - after two world wars, after the burning of churches full of children in Macva in 1914, and after Jasenovac, you want to declare Serbs a genocidal people. If it weren't for Putin and Vucic, if President Vucic hadn't used his personal relationship with President Putin, maybe that would have passed," said Vulin.
