Elma Elfic Zukorlic, Muamer Zukorlic's second wife, made a statement after a press conference held on Sunday by Usama Zukorlic, the mufti's son from his marriage to Umeja, who claims to have evidence that his father died of poisoning.

Elma said that she was surprised not only by the results, but also by the fact that such tests were done at all.

Usame, president of the Justice and Reconciliation Party, said that two independent laboratories conducted the analyses and that the results of both show that his father, Mufti Muamer Zukorlic, was poisoned.

"One showed that it was heavy metals, and the other that it was food. We demand an investigation, to find out in detail the cause of death of our father and leader," said Usame Zukorlic.

Shortly afterwards, Elma spoke, explaining that her son Amir Zukorlic was present at Usame's address, and that he was invited to the conference just before it started.

"My children and I are very shaken and upset by the allegations made today, also, we had no information that the analysis of the sample had been done, nor in which country or in which laboratories. Everything we know, we found out through the media," Elma said on Instagram.

She added that the children and she demand to receive complete information about the allegations as soon as possible, to which, she said, they are fully entitled.

"We demand exhumation and an autopsy, but also what was not heard at the conference, we want, if the allegations are true, an investigation to be launched and the culprit found and brought to justice - added Elma Elfic Zukorlic.

Muamer Zukorlic passed away on November 6, 2021, at the age of 51.
