The president of the Serbian Radical Party, Vojislav Seselj, has confirmed for Telegraf.rs that he is resigning from the party leadership and announced that the SRS will probably have a new president in the next elections.

"I'm in a pretty bad shape right now. In the next elections, the party will probably be led by a new president. I do not feel well, and I have already been rejected by the Serbian people twice in elections, and I understood that as high time to step down," said Seselj, whose party did not pass the three percent threshold in the elections, necessary to win seats in the Assembly.

Seselj said that he no longer has the legitimacy to act on behalf of the party.

The Serbian Radical Party won 2.16% in the April 3 parliamentary elections.
