Croatian handball player brutally beaten in North Macedonia, doctors are fighting to save his life
Denis Tot, a 27-year-old Croatian handball player who plays for the North Macedonia club Butel, was beaten in that country and is currently in hospital with serious injuries, 24rakomet.mk reports.
The media outlet reports through a source from the hospital that the Croat was admitted to with numerous injuries and several fractures, while it is suspected that this is the result of a fight or getting hit with hard objects.
"He is in a serious condition after he was brought to the hospital with severe bodily injuries. The club confirmed that their handball player is in the hospital and that the situation is serious, but they have no information about what exactly happened. He is fighting for his life," the Macedonian portal's source said.
Tot arrived in Butel from Ohrid, and spent a part of his career in the Spanish club Ademar Leon, Austrian Bruck, as well as Porec and Bjelovar.
