In the previous two years, the Serbian National Assembly received the most criticism for having no opposition, which was a consequence of the decision of some political parties to boycott the previous elections held in 2020, saying at the time that there were no conditions to hold fair elections.

After the parliamentary elections that were held yesterday, and based on the results published by CeSID and IPSOS, it can be said with certainty that the future convocation of the parliament will look very different.

According to the latest projections, out of 250 seats in the parliament, the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) will have 120, the coalition around "Marinika Tepic - United for the Victory of Serbia" will have 38 seats, "Ivica Dacic - Prime Minister of Serbia" (SPS) 32, the Serbian coalition NADA consisting of the DSS and POKS returns to parliament with 15 seats, while the Coalition "Moramo" is entering the Assembly and will have 12 seats.

Milica Djurdjevic Stamenkovski will also be in the parliament for the first time, as predicted by pollsters, and her Serbian Party Zavetnici will have ten deputies, as will the Dveri coalition headed by Bosko Obradovic, who in the past marked the work of previous parliaments with various "performances."

The threshold of three percent did not apply to parties representing ethnic minirities, so the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) led by Istvan Pastor will once again have representatives in the Assembly, on which, as SNS President Aleksandar Vucic said last night, the Progressives are counting when it comes to forming the authorities. The SVM will have six deputies, the Party of Justice and Reconciliation, led by his son Usama after the death of Muamer Zukorlic, will have three mandates, and Together for Vojvodina two.

The SDA Sandzak led by Sulejman Ugljanin will be in the parliament again with one deputy, the same as the Coalition of Albanians.

At least five deputies are needed in order to form a parliamentary club, so it is possible that some coalitions that participated in the elections together will. after the new parliament is formed, "break up" into several clubs, which would, among other things, give them more time while participating in debates.

Official results and the number of mandates will be announced by the Republic Election Commission, which has 96 hours to declare the final results, and then the 30-day deadline for convening the first session of the National Assembly that will confirm the mandates begins.
