Minister Sinisa Mali said that there were 800,000 tons of wheat, Vucic said that there is less, due to theft

President of Serbia and the leader of the SNS Aleksandar Vucic announced last night that arrests over theft from commodity reserves will follow soon.

In the pre-election show, Vucic - when it was stated that Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali said there were about 800,000 tons of wheat in the commodity reserves - said that the number is somewhat lower due to theft.

"We have somewhat less because people stole from commodity reserves, and arrests will follow soon," he announced.

Mali said that the government froze the prices of basic foodstuffs in order to protect the living standard of citizens, and as a second measure, at the initiative of the president, it filled the commodity reserves, so that it could react quickly in case of shortages.

"Now the citizens know that we are safe. They should not worry when it comes to food," stressed Mali.
