Slovenian consul killed in Banja Luka
He was hit by a vehicle
A pedestrian who died last night in Banja Luka near the Rebrovac bridge has been identified as M.R.
According to unofficial information, the victim is Slovenian consul Marijan Ristic, Nezavisne Novine reports.
As has been announced by the Banja Luka District Prosecutor's Office, a car driven by Sergej Miljkovic (23) from Banja Luka and pedestrian Marijan Ristic (62), a citizen of Slovenia, were involved in the accident.
"On that occasion, pedestrian Marijan Ristic was killed," the Prosecutor's Office stated.
Reports said earlier that a traffic accident occurred last night in the eastern transit area in the Banja Luka settlement of Borik, ahead the Rebrovac bridge, that resulted in one fatality.
The driver of a Golf was involved in the accident, and because of it, a traffic jam was created and vehivles were being rerouted to one lane.
