Zajecar man who killed his neighbor and a policeman was harassing the neighbor for years? Family reported it

D.Z. was harassing and mistreating his neighbor V. DJ. (68) for years before murdering her last night, Telegraf.rs has learned. She allegedly reported him to the police several times. V. DJ. lost her husband a few years ago.

The drama in Zajecar, eastern Serbia, began at about 10 pm on Monday, when D.Z. first shot and killed V. DJ., then shot at on-duty police officers, and finally hanged himself.

D.Z. fired two bullets at the police, hitting a 28-year-old policeman who died of his wounds at the Zajecar Health Center. A police woman was also injured.

In addition to members of the Zajecar Police Administration, Special Anti-Terrorist Unit officers were also deployed at the scene. Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin and Acting Police Director Dragan Vasiljevic were there as well the whole time the multi-hour drama was unfolding last night.
