Drone that crashed in Zagreb, Croatia carried an aerial bomb with detonator
The District State Prosecutor's Office in Zagreb has announced new details from the investigation into the crash of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the Croatian capital two weeks ago.
The Zagreb District State Prosecutor's Office has so far issued orders for conducting several types of expert analyses of the samples taken at the scene, while the expert opinion of aviation and technical professionals has also been requested, the statement reads.
It further adds that this was an aerial bomb.
"So far, the District State Prosecutor's Office in Zagreb has received the results of expert ballistic tests and only a part of the results of chemical and physical ones. The ballistic probe of the metal fragments showed that this was an aerial bomb with a detonator," it has been announced.
The results of the investigation so far and the results of expert tests do not provide a basis for reaching a final conclusion.
"Considering the above, this state prosecutor's office, in coordination with competent bodies involved in the criminal investigation, continues to work in order to determine all facts relevant to the circumstances of the drone crash," the Prosecutor's Office stated.
