RS police publish facial composite of suspected killer of Prijedor police chief Radenko Basic

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of the Serb Republic (RS - the Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina) today published a facial composite of a person suspected of participating in the murder of the head of the criminal police of the Prijedor Police Department, Radenko Basic.

The police have submitted the image to all media and called on citizens to inform the nearest police station or call the police if they recognize the depicted person, or have any information about his prior movements.

They added that during the night, the police searched several apartments and buildings in the area of the town of Prijedor and that several people have detained on suspicion of being in possession information, or being connected to the murder of Basic.

Basic was shot in the head. The killer approached him from behind.

Basic will be laid to rest today, while a day of mourning has been declared in the RS because of his death.
