President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic on Pink TV's Novo Jutro program this morning when he spoke about the most current topics important for the state.

After yesterday's meetings, the president said that he did his job and that he could not subordinate the obligations of the president of the Republic to those of his party, or his personal ones.

When it comes to the ultimatum from Pristina, Aleksandar Vucic stressed that it is not all about the vote on April 3, but that there is a double intention: to humiliate the Serbs, to deprive them of their rights, and then to reduce the number of votes received by him and his list.

"This second part is not important, because it will make no differences in the tally, but the first one is worrying because they are ready to keep silent about Albin Kurti's intention to cause problems in the region. The easiest thing was to accept the demands of the Serbs (in Kosovo and Metohija), but what would we do the next day?," Vucic asked.

He said that he accepted many conditions, but not the phrase that, "the Government of Serbia is asking the Government of Kosovo" because that would mean a de facto recognition.

"I think that the Russian and Chinese sides understand everything, but it will be difficult for us, it will be difficult for the Serbs for Kosovo and Metohija. The trap is that they are trying to drag us into a conflict, saying that we serve the Russians in the Balkans. The Croats say that we are provoking in Bosnia and Herzegovina. And what exactly have we done, other than keep quiet at every turn?," the president said while appearing on TV Pink.

It was unexpected for many, the president added, that Serbia is developing faster than Croatia, so today the GDPs of the two countries are equal.

"I believe that for the first time we will get ahead of them. It's logical they are not satisfied, but not to be accusing Serbia through various campaigns," said Vucic.

"While shelves in Europe are emptied, ours are full, we have huge reserves"

Vucic said he hopes for a solution for oil - if it doesn't come from Russia, we will have to look for another way out. Serbia is working on importing milk powder, while in Europe the shelves are being emptied. In Serbia, too, there has been stockpiling of basic foodstuffs, the state has endured all that and still has sufficient reserves, said the president.

"Many laugh as if we are talking nonsense, while a small number of people are involved in providing food and everything. Responsible people are aware what kind of a crisis is unfolding! We consume huge amounts of gas, we fight on a daily basis, and everything is fine because we are managing," said Vucic.

When EU politicians talk about food, we should be aware that we have a big problem, the president added. The struggle to get raw materials is happening everywhere, and in case there is even bigger chaos, the question of the import of oil to Serbia would arise.

"We have no problem with wheat, corn and cooking oil. People from neighboring countries come here, fill up their cars and go. Many are using tricks to get our cooking oil, one big European country is making threats against us, demanding that we export flour to them, they say, 'tell Vucic that he has to export it to us by tonight". And we tell them that we have no time to deal with that, and respond to them in seven days.

"I am not optimistic regrading peace"

When asked whether there will be conflicts and why he seems pessimistic, Vucic said that it is only realistic.

"When, after a long conversation with world leaders, we come to the point where they ask us , 'do you want peace at the cost of losing a part of your interests?', and no one wants that. Aside from the fact that everyone is only doing propaganda, rather than realistic things, until it is clear what is essentially happening, nothing can be known. And it will be clear in a few days. When you do propaganda, the question is who pays the price. People in Ukraine are paying, ordinary people, soldiers, and all of that to play geostrategic positions. The price is huge, there will be tens and, I am afraid, hundreds of thousands of victims, convincingly the most since World War II. There will be tens of millions of refugees and displaced persons, all because someone expects the final collapse of the West, or of Russia," said Vucic.

He stressed that he is not an optimist and that ordinary people don't matter - higher interests are at stake. He pointed out that "the big ones break the spine of small countries first."

He added that most regional media, but also outlets elsewhere in Europe, deal with Serbia, that they are inventing things, lying, and all this not because they actually think that the Kremlin rules us, but because there is the interest in breaking our country down.

"They are counting on the full domination of one power, Biden said so. That is why the Americans are going into additional confrontation with China. That is exactly what everyone in the region is counting on, they expect to receive the mercy of the leaders of the new world order, and are hoping that Serbia will be punished. We must not be anyone's bellboy, we must preserve our independence, if you will, also because of the ethics the EU talks about," said Vucic, and added:

"In the UN Security Council, Russia, along with China, has been protecting the (territorial) integrity of Serbia, and it was not Russia that bombed us. Can we, so small, in relation to the entire EU, conduct our policy. So far, we have been successful," said Vucic.
