A meeting of the Government of Montenegro, during which sanctions against Russia were supposed to be confirmed, was interrupted on Thursday, and as announced from the cabinet of Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic, the reason for that was disagreement "on the procedure of adopting the decision regarding sanctions."

Krivokapic demanded that the decision on sanctions shoud be implemented not by the government, but by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Minister of Foreign Affairs Djordje Radulovic opposed this, explaining that this was an issue in the constitutional competence of the Government.

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic agreed with this position and said that this ministry is not the one that deals with entry of people into the country and that it cannot freeze someone's account or seize assets.

The meeting was allegedly also marked by an incident, that, after verbal provocations and insults, almost turned into a physical fight, which was prevented by the ministers, those who were in attendance told Podgorica-based Vijesti.

The incident happened when the the decision to extend sanctions against Russia was supposed to be adopted.

Sources told Vijesti that Minister of Foreign Affairs Djordje Radulovic immediately started an argument with Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatovic, who previously allegedly provoked him.

Mutual provocations followed, and then insults.
