Last night, Minister of the Interior and President of the Socialist Movement Aleksandar Vulin participated in a panel discussion in Bijeljina on the current geopolitical situation and its reflection on the region, and stressed that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is the only leader in Europe who pursues an independent foreign policy and who has fought for the right of Serbs to decide for themselves.

He stressed that while Aleksandar Vucic is the president of Serbia, our country will not impose sanctions against Russia.

"The Republic of Serbia is the only country in Europe that has not imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation. As long as Serbia is led by Aleksandar Vucic, he will not impose sanctions against the Russian Federation. It sounds easy and simple, but it is not easy to maintain such a position in this world, in this constellation of forces where Serbia, one country of seven million people, is able to tell the world's greatest powers that it will not participate in sanctions against the Russian Federation."

"Aleksandar Vucic is the last independent leader in Europe who is able to lead an independent foreign policy. President Vucic has fought for the right of Serbs to decide for themselves," Vulin pointed out.

He added that the Serb people who have the experience of (WW2 Croatian death camp) Jasenovac, Operation Storm (in Croatia), the March Pogrom (in Kosovo), have no right to leave decisions about their future to someone else.

"I firmly believe in the need for the Serbs to become a united political people, regardless of the borders that we neither sought nor drew, that we must have a single political position. A people that has the experience of Jasenovac, that has the experience of Brod na Drini, a people that has the experience of Naser Oric and other murderers, cannot leave its destiny to someone else, it cannot say let someone else decide for us.

It cannot agree to let someone else decide the fate of its children. That is why we must be a united political nation, that is why we must think the same about the key national issues. And that is the need to create a unique worldview, the Serbian world is a necessity of this generation, if we do not create the Serbian world, I'm afraid we will have nothing to leave to future generations," he said.

Minister Vulin stressed that Serbia, headed by Aleksandar Vucic, is a military neutral country whose basic interest is to protect the country and the Serbian people wherever they lives.

"Military neutrality formulated by President Vucic is our path. One of the reasons why I am against NATO membership is that I will not accept that my soldier could be commanded by someone who is not of my name and my language and who one day may ask my soldier to do to others what they have done to us. There is not a single Serbian unit that I would send to Afghanistan, there is not a single Serbian soldier who should now go to the battlefields to die for someone else.

That is military neutrality. It is neutrality which means that we think first and foremost about ourselves and about the Serbs wherever they live. When Aleksandar Vucic says that neither Operation Storm nor the March Pogrom will happen again, they will not happen again.

Because for the first time in the past few years, Serbia put on paper and signed in the Assembly that the Serb Republic and the Serbs wherever they live are a priority of the Republic of Serbia and that any harassment of the Serbs wherever they may live is harassment of Serbia itself," said Aleksandar Vulin.

In addition to the minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia, the most important topics for Serbia and the Serb Republic (RS, the Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina) were also discussed by RS Minister of Internal Affairs Dragan Lukac and distinguished professors from universities in Novi Sad and Banja Luka.
