Kombank Dvorana to change its name in a month: What will the new owner have the right to do?

There is still a week left until the deadline expires of the public call to choose the title sponsor of Kombank Dvorana, after which this iconic, multi-functional venue in central Belgrade will be renamed.

As Kombank Dvorana has announced, the public call was issued on February 11 and ends on March 15, and the decision on awarding the contract will be made by the Dvorana within 15 days from the day of the end of the public call.

When it comes to the rules of the competition, the future sponsor, among other things, has the right to change the name of the building by adding the name of their brand to the word "Dvorana," put signs with the new name on the facade and inside the building, and a number of other privileges as stated in the published public call.

The institution claims that even before the announcement of the public call, there were already companies interested in assuming the role of the title sponsor of the facility, which has the longest tradition of holding cultural and artistic events in the Balkans. Domestic and foreign legal entities have the right to participate in the public call, while the application must contain the monetary part, which cannot be less than one million euros, as well as a proposal for the name of the facility. The title sponsorship agreement will be signed for a period of five years.

The statement recalls that the agreement with Komercijalna Banka (Kombank) on the title sponsorship, which gave the facility its current name - Kombank Dvorana - was signed at the end of April 2018.
