Big blow for Djokovic: Important sponsor goes back on its word and terminates cooperation with Novak

One of Novak Djokovic's main sponsors, the French Peugeot, has decided to terminate cooperation with the Serbian ace, although the company had previously promised not to do that, reports UK's Express.

Peugeot assured Novak and the public that there would be no break in the cooperation even after the saga with vaccination and deportation from Australia, but they still changed their mind, a month after making a promise to the contrary.

Although the situation is slowly becoming more clear and Novak's chances of participating in all tournaments after the US tour are increasing, the French sponsor has decided in favor of this radical move.

Djokovic made his first appearance of the season in Dubai, but failed to win the title after losing his quarterfinals match.

Now, his participation in Indian Wells and Miami is not certain, but he will play in Rome and Madrid, and in other tournaments at the beginning of the summer and during the height of the season.
