Serbia is preparing urgent measures for the economy prompted by the crisis in Ukraine

The Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) will form a specialized crisis management team starting on Friday and launch a crisis call center for urgent solution of problems faced by the business community and for the economic consequences caused by the crisis in Ukraine, Marko Cadez, president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, has announced, it has been confirmed for our portal.

Cadez said that businesspeople have been invited to discuss the current situation and what we can do on Monday, February 28.

"Let's create a joint crisis headquarters, a joint team that will monitor the upcoming events and help companies that have to buy, pay, export or import goods from the region affected by the crisis, but also everyone else who will be affected by it."

"Tonight's address before more than 250 leaders of Serbian entrepreneur community makes me responsible in making sure that the Association of Serbian Economy is of help, not only to those who export to the Ukrainian market, but also other companies that will not be spared the impact of this crisis, both direct and indirect - the economic implications which are yet to come. This is evidenced in energy prices, which have risen more than 40 percent today, and the opening of many other business issues," the president of the PKS said during last night's award ceremony for Entrepreneur of the Year given by Ernst & Young (EY).

"We agreed today with representatives of the chambers of commerce of Austria, Germany, and Luxembourg, and president of Eurochamber to hold crisis telephone conversations every morning in order to most effectively find solutions to support our companies," Cadez stressed.

Announcing the best EY fast-growing entrepreneur of the year - Quantox Technology, Vuk Popovic and Filip Karaicic - the PKS head said that courage comes from people who do business, create, work, from their perseverance, creativity, their leadership which shows that even in the most difficult times they can carry their ideas and their business.
