Pristina defies international community: We're not changing conditions for Serbs to vote in Kosovo
The minister of justice of the provisional authorities of Pristina, Albulena Haxhiu, said today that Pristina's position regarding the voting of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija in the April 3 elections has not changed and that they can vote by mail or through the liaison office.
"That will be in line with the Constitution. We believe that it is extremely important to respect the Constitution of Kosovo and the laws. Kosovo Serbs vote by mail or in the liaison office. There is nothing else in that regard," said Haxhiu, reports Koha Ditore.
The Pristina paper said that the international community proposed that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija should be allowed to vote in Serbia's general election scheduled for April 3.
This was also requested before the referendum on constitutional changes, held on January 16, and Haxhiu recalled a resolution adopted by the Assembly in Pristina against holding Serbia's referendum in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.
