Man arrested in Belgrade for inciting to terrorism: He is suspected of having links with Islamic State
I.D. from Belgrade has been detained on suspicion of committing the crime of Public Incitement to Commit Terrorist Acts, Telegraf has learned.
The Counter-Terrorism Service, the Ministry of the Interior and the TOK worked on this case.
I.D. will be brought to the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime.
I.D., a Serbian Wahhabi who was in contact with Islamic State, was first arrested in 2017 in Belgrade, when he was preparing to mow down people in the city center using a truck. The plan for an attack such as the one that previously happened in Barcelona were found in his possession at the time.
I.D. converted to Islam a few years ago and has been constantly in touch with Islamic State (ISIS) leaders.
