Attempt to sack Montenegrin Deputy PM Abazovic fails: Assembly did not adopt agenda
The extraordinary session of the Assembly that was to discuss the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazovic ended today after deputies failed to adopt the agenda.
77 deputies voted, 20 were in favor, 11 against, while 46 abstained.
As reported by Vijesti, almost all government and opposition MPs came to the session, while DF MP Simonida Kordic voted via video link.
Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic asked for the dismissal of Abazovic after the coalition "Crno na Bijelo" (GP URA and CIVIS) and opposition deputies demanded a vote of no confidence in the government, on which the deputies will vote on tomorrow.
According to an agreement reached during a meeting of the collegium of the Assembly, the discussion of this item was supposed to last for three hours.
Earlier today, Abazovic said in parliament that he did not expect anything spectacular from today's session, that was supposed to discuss his sacking.
