Serbian Army at Base Jug: Intensive training to secure administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija
Intensive training of members of the Serbian Army for realization of tasks related to securing the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija and control of the Ground Safety Zone is underway at Base Jug ("Base South") near Bujanovac, the Ministry of Defens has announced.
The training is realized on a battlefield simulator, a medical simulator and modern infantry weapons shooting training equipment at the Training Center for multinational operations.
In this way, with minimal expenditure of material resources, high level training of soldiers and officers for the realization of combat and tactical tasks in a realistic environment is being provided.
Training on simulators is part of comprehensive preparations and training of members of the Serbian Army for engagement in the Ground Safety Zone, primarily in preventing illegal crossings, extremist groups and organized crime.
Continuous training of members of the Serbian Army maintains and improves their combat readiness for efficient implementation of tasks along the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija, in cooperation with other security bodies of the Republic of Serbia and KFOR, in order to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for all citizens in this part of Serbia, the Ministry said.
