Brnabic: "All acts with Rio Tinto have been annulled. They no longer have exploration rights"

Regarding the Rio Tinto case, Ana Brnabic said that all acts with Rio Tinto had been annulled and that the company no longer has exploration rights, while all allegations to the contrary are - lies.

Speaking in Belgrade today, while attending the handover of ten new "eco busese," the prime minister replied to journalists who asked whether the story has been put to rest.

"Absolutely. The spatial plan has been abolished, the working group has been abolished. All acts in terms of permits have been canceled. We also received a confirmation of that from the ministries," she added.

She also stressed that at this moment, she does not see how "any other company could come, because no one else has applied for exploration rights, nor does the government intend to give exploration rights to anyone else."
