"Pristina's refusal to form the ZSO is the biggest problem in relations with the EU"

Journalist Fitim Gashi expects increased pressure from the United States and the European Union when it comes to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, and adds that the failure to form the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) is the biggest problem in relations with the EU, reports Koha.
"Despite the intention to focus the final agreement on mutual recognition, there may be more pressure in the dialogue, so Kosovo would be rewarded with, say, visa liberalization," Gashi told KTV.
However, according to him, Serbia would benefit more in this case than it has so far.
"I also expect increased pressure from the United States and the European Union when it comes to the dialogue. Despite the government's insistence that this is not a priority, the dialogue with Serbia is an important issue," Gashi said.
According to Gashi, the failure to form the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) is the biggest problem in relations with the EU.
"Despite the intention to focus the final agreement on mutual recognition, which would be good because it would contribute to the final solution of relations, we see that the European Union has realized that it cannot reach this agreement because of Serbia's rejection," Gashi concluded.
