Utter madness in Melbourne: Serb knocks tear gas bottle out of hands of policeman spraying it
We saw all kinds of situations unfolding this morning in Melbourne, after we learned that Novak Djokovic had won his appeal lodged before the Federal and Family Court in the case against the Government of Australia. From the scenes of joy, through those of disbelief, and round and round again.
The police also intervened after Serbian fans found out that there was the possibility Novak would be taken into custody again. They surrounded a car, started shouting that Djokovic should be released, and then the police used tear gas.
This angered many, especially because tear gas was used also against women and children, which is a massive disgrace, but one Serb was "crazy" enough to resist.
Namely, during the chaos that reigned in Melbourne, he ran towards a police officer who was spraying tear gas at protesters and started attacking him. Yes, you read it right. He was not afraid of the consequences, but went against the policeman, who was stunned and even dropped his bottle of tear gas to the ground.
It is not known what exactly happened after that, but what is clear is that this detail will be another thing this day will be remembered for.
