Office for Kosovo and Metohija on operation by Albanian special forces: "Kurti's new terror"

This morning's operation of the Kosovo police, which, with armed special forces Rosu, raided several Serb villages in the municipality of Strpce and arrested a number of Serbs, is another brutal attempt to intimidate the Serb people and a new instance of terror of Albin Kurti, said the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic.

As of this morning, according to Petkovic, the municipality of Strpce is under blockade, access is blocked, streets are closed, many Serb homes are being searched, people are intimidated and unable to go about their daily business.

"Under the guise and under the pretext of some kind of fight against corruption, Albin Kurti is again sending Rosu special forces under full war equipment to Serb areas with the sole goal of criminalizing Serbs who remained as a bulwark of defending our national interests in the province. It is as if Kurti does not see corruption and crime in his own ranks, when all international factors know that all flows of dirty money go through Albanian areas," Petkovic said, according to a statement issued by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

The municipality of Strpce, it was announced, as a strong Serb stronghold and the southernmost point of Serb survival in Kosovo and Metohija, is an obvious target precisely because of its importance for our people who stayed there and survived despite all the challenges and difficulties.

Petkovic stressed that no action of Albin Kurti will break the Serb resistance and Serb unity in the province embodied in the Serb List, and that we will persevere in that despite any pressure.

"This action is not happening today by chance, when President Aleksandar Vucic is supposed to sign six important agreements within the Open Balkan initiative as a step towards a better future, and is obviously coordinated with last night's extremist rampage and the burning of Serbian flags in Tirana," warned Petkovic.
