"Dear citizens of Novi Sad, dear guests, dear audience from all over Europe and the world, good evening! Roscosmos cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov greet you from the International Space Station. We would like to congratulate you on the title won by Novi Sad - the European Capital of Culture. We are convinced that in 2022, Novi Sad, as well as the whole of Serbia, will promote its achievements in the field of science and art, which on the one hand represent a common good of all people in Europe, and on the other embody the aspirations of all people to create a better a fairer world on the planet. Expressing the belief that without reason there is no progress in science, without imagination there is no development of art, and that without solidarity, humanity cannot survive, we wish you great success in your work. Good luck!," Shkaplerov and Dubrov said in their message recorded in space.
