Vucic: "Construction of National Stadium starts soon, it will be more beautiful than Allianz Arena"

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic announced that all Olympic sports will soon receive financial assistance from the state, including karate, while infrastructure will be improved. The crowning achievement will be the construction of the new football National Stadium.

"I want to inform you that great help and support will go to clubs. Thanks to Jovana Prekovic, a great champion, all Olympic sports and karate will receive it. First and second league clubs will also get help, we want it to spread, to further improve our infrastructure, we brought the best foreign coaches, Cubans for boxing, Gerona for the men's handball team, Slovenians for the women's team. There is more and more investment in sports."

Vucic also announced the beginning of works to build the National Stadium in Surcin, Belgrade, by the end of the year.

"Soon, before the end of the year, we should finalize everything and start building the National Stadium. It will be a beauty, more beautiful than the Allianz Arena, it will not be bigger, but it will be more beautiful than the Allianz Arena inside and outside, it will be a new part of the city, the right project for the development of the municipality of Surcin and for the whole of Serbia. I have no intention of influencing anyone to write about these projects, because people prefer to read about someone cursing somebody or saying something ugly. But I must say that I am proud that Serbia is progressing successfully. In these two years of coronavirus, when you add it all up, it's certain that we will be the number 1 or 2 country for sure," concluded Vucic.
