Baby dies in Tirsova Street hospital: It had Covid, doctors fought to save it for 6 weeks

A baby has died as a result of coronavirus infection at the Children's Clinic in Tirsova Street in Belgrade.

"Unfortunately, the first baby we admitted was ten days old at the time and passed away last week. After almost six weeks of fighting for its life," Doctor Snezana Rsovac told Prva TV.

She said that two more babies are treated at that clinic and that their current condition is good.

"A one-month-old baby is in intensive care," she added, while the other baby managed to recover even though it had been on a ventilator for a long time.

All other children in that clinic are doing well and the number of admissions of infected children has also decreased.
