Dr. Tiodorovic: Fourth dose of Covid vaccine probably in the spring

Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorovic has said that it is likely that a fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine will be recommended in the spring.

Tiodorovic told today's Blic that immunization against coronavirus could be performed twice a year in the future.

"The Delta Plus strain is starting to have negative effects in Europe, the number of infected people is increasing, and we have examples that countries that were relatively calm, such as the Netherlands and Denmark, have an increase in the number of new cases. The Germans are also in trouble," he assessed.

The epidemiologist said that the number of new cases will continue to decrease in Serbia, but he pointed out that it depends on the citizens whether that will happen.

"It's possible for the trend of a drop in the number of infected people to continue, because now there is a degree of seriousness in the population. When the numbers are growing people behave more seriously, when the numbers fall, they relax and that should not be the case," he stressed.

Tiodorovic said that the medical part of the Crisis HQ is still in favor of introducing around the clock Covid passes and will insist on that.

He added that the introduction of Covid passes has had an impact on people aged 30 to 40 and that this can be seen from the vaccination data.
