Since the vaccination against Covid-19 started, it seems that from that moment - at a global level - the biggest social divide in the last few decades has been created. If not the biggest, then certainly one of the biggest.

The chasm continues to be created, both among citizens and among professionals - doctors, while companies are finding their own ways to motivate workers to get vaccinated. There are also those who are neutral or not in favor of vaccination, although it seems that they are a minority, at least judging by the initiatives we hear about every day.

We recently wrote about whether hospitality establishments are allowed to ask workers to get vaccinated for Covid passes and whether unvaccinated people can be fired, and earlier we touched on how companies approach workers, in terms of vaccination: there are benefits for the vaccinated, "penalties" for the unvaccinated, canceling of paid sick leave, bonuses, vouchers.

In addition to the US, Austria has also recently adopted stricter measures when it comes to vaccination, banning unvaccinated people from entering a large number of stores, and people also cannot get unemployed benefits without the 3G document.

In the past, we reported about a company from Sabac in Serbia that was accused of discrimination over vaccination of workers, more precisely because they had made the decision to deny the so-called Easter bonus to workers who are seen as closer to anti-vaxxers.

This was happening in April, when the vaccination was just starting, so the topic itself was "fresh." Then came numerous domestic and global news about how companies are fighting the crisis, but also about workers who refuse to receive the vaccine.

For example, this endeavor is especially important for airlines that are trying to regain the trust of passengers, but also profits, and that - they say - can only be done if they create a safe and protected environment.

Also, Whirlpool had already offered employees a smaller incentive for vaccines, but increased it to $1,000 in early September. Among the companies that have introduced more rigorous rules in the US, regarding who is allowed to enter the main premises and who is not, are Equinox, SoulCycle, Morgan Stanley, Broadway and Union Square Hospitality Group.

The list of "rewards" includes not only money, but also coupons, juices, yogurt, donuts, and we remind you that in our country - at the state level - a monetary incentive of 3,000 dinars has been introduced only for vaccinated citizens.

Private companies in Serbia are choosing to make similar moves: a well-known retail chain in the field of cosmetics, hygiene and pharmaceuticals, has decided to introduce an incentive for vaccinated workers: they will be given 50 euros per dose; therefore, whoever receivews all three doses (two doses + booster) - is entitled to 150 euros from this employer.

One of the bravest decisions in the corporate world was made by Tyson Foods, which decided that all of its 120,000 workers would have to be vaccinated against Covid - or get fired.
