Another minor migrant dies after accident in Pirot: There have been 3 victims

Another minor from Afghanistan has died due to serious injuries sustained yesterday in a traffic accident that happened near the town of Pirot, when a van used by people smugglers overturned, Novosti writes.

During the accident near the ramp in Knjazevacka Street at the exit from Pirot to Temska, two people were killed on the spot in the crash caused by speeding, while 19 others were transported to the Pirot Hospital.

The third victim of migrant smuggling was transferred to the University Clinical Center in Nis where he died, after initially being admitted to the Pirot Hospital.

Criminal charges have been filed against D.M. (39), a Belgrader who has been arrested for organizing the smuggling of 20 mostly underage Afghans. He is suspected of committing a serious act against traffic safety, illegally crossing the state border, and smuggling people.
