Vucic congratulates Serbian football squad for qualifying for World Cup: You went and you won!

The Serbian national football team defeated the Portuguese 2-1 last night, thus qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic congratulated our footballers on this historic success.

Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic also congratulated our football team on an extremely important result.

"Well done guys, that's how one fights for one's country! Congratulations to the Serbian football players who beat Portugal in Lisbon and qualified for the World Cup in Qatar. The whole of Serbia is proud of you, thank you for this joy," the prime minister wrote on Twitter.

The Serbian national football team achieved one of the greatest victories in its history by beating Portugal in Lisbon, with Aleksandar Mitrovic scoring in the 90th minute for 2-1, and Serbia's direct qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
