You can see 3 states from Mt. Tara's highest peak: Janjac observation deck gets panoramic binoculars

The observation decks in the Tara National Park represent the most attractive locations from which visitors get to know this protected area and experience it in a special way. Most are hidden and difficult to access.

However, the most beautiful ones can certainly be reached, but of course only on foot. One of the highest peaks in the Tara National Park is Janjac and definitely has one of the most beautiful observation decks, although it is not so well known among visitors.

Now it has become richer for another feature, because in cooperation with the Tourist Organization Tara-Drina, panoramic binoculars have been installed there.

"There is a magnificent panoramic view of the area of Zaovina, the Tara massif, Crni Vrh and Velik Stolac from this peak," Ranko Milanovic from NP Tara has told RINA.

"When the weather is good, you can see Visegrad and the famous bridge over the Drina, which was described in his novel by our Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andric. Also, the remains of First World War-era trenches can be seen here. The deck itself is located in Zaovine, above Gornje Karaklije, on the border between Serbia and the Serb Republic (BiH). It can be reached by a well-maintained path through the hamlet of Karaklije," Ranko Milanovic explained.

In the territory of this national park, there are nine arranged observation decks that are fenced and completely safe for visitors, and million-dollar views awaits you.

The most famous is certainly Banjska Stena, from where you can see all the beauties of the Tara National Park, but no less beautiful are the other eight, where new features are often added.

"On Banjska Stena, the most visited observation deck on Mt. Tara, the security fence has been replaced, and the old canopy was removed and replaced with three new ones. Also, several benches have been added. The plan is to set up new informational and educational boards along the way to the deck," Milanovic concluded.
