Loncar talks about Viber group discussing the drug Ivermectin: "The state will react"

Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar spoke about the health advice that is being shared in a Viber group, where the medicine for cattle Ivermectin is mentioned.

He said that in the coming days, the state will react to the advice that some health workers are sharing in that group on Viber, in which the use of the drug Ivermectin, which is normally used for animals, is promoted.

According to him, whoever these doctors are and whatever is happening in their brains, according to all medical rules it must not be allowed, therefore the state will react in the next couple of days.

"Imagine, you are a doctor who treats children, and you recommend a drug that is not registered and used in veterinary medicine. I am afraid that it is then a serious crime, therefore, this is a serious state that will do its part of the job," Loncar concluded.

This was the topic on TV Prva this morning, when a heated discussion took place in the studio between a doctor and a member of that Viber group Slavica Arandjelovic, who promotes the use of Ivermectin as preventive treatment against Covid-19, and the director of the Palilula Healthcare Center Aleksandar Stojanovic and cardiologist Nebojsa Tasic, who said that these doctors (promoting the drug) would have to answer criminally.
