A panel of the chamber of appeals within the Specialist Chambers ("special court") has rejected the appeal by the former leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Hashim Thaci, filed against the decision of a pre-trial judge ordering his detention, reports Lajmi.
Thaci failed to prove why the preliminary decision was unreasonable when it comes to the risk related to his possible temporary release.
The indictment against Thaci which was confirmed on October 26, 2020, charges him with war crimes and crimes against humanity, and includes Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi.
