Nurses in Slovenia caught selling fake Covid certificates
Two nurses have been suspended in Slovenia after it was discovered that they were issuing fake vaccination certificates in exchange for money.
According to unofficial information reported by the Delo newspaper, they charged 400 euros for each certificate.
The nurses' actions were discovered when irregularities were noticed in the electronic register of vaccination at the health center in Zelec, STA reports.
After that, an internal investigation was launched, which confirmed that the nurses had committed the abuse.
They have been suspended, and the procedure to terminate their employment has been initiated.
The police in Celje confirmed for STA that a police investigation is being conducted against them as well.
The Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Public Health have been informed about the incident.
