There have been cases of vaccinated people who died from Covid in Serbia
There are those who were vaccinated among the people who died from Covid, prime minister Ana Brnabic has said. She was replying to a question from a Telegraf journalist during the press conference after the session of the Crisis HQ. However, she explained that vaccines still protect against severe forms of the disease.
"Like Colin Powell passed away at the age of 80, who was vaccinated. In medicine, you have 100 times better chances if you are vaccinated. The fact that 90 percent of those in intensive care have not been vaccinated speaks volumes about how much vaccines protect you," said the prime minister.
"I read a statement by an American doctor who asked if, for example, there were instance of someone taking heart medication who died of a heart attack. Yes. Does that mean people will stop taking heart medication? No."
She cited Israel as an example, where a large number of citizens have been vaccinated, but there is still an increase in the number of infected people.
"There are infected people even in Israel, who have been vaccinated, but no one has more severe symptoms," said Brnabic.
