Radojevic: Mass election turnout of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija is an incentive for ZSO
The candidate of the Serb List for mayor in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, Milan Radojevic, said today that the mass turnout of Serbs in local elections in Kosovo and Metohija will give legitimacy to the negotiating team and the president of Serbia to fight for the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO).
Radojevic, who won in the municipality, said that participation of Serbs in Kosovo's institutions would be called into question if there is no progress in the negotiations about the ZSO.
Otherwise, Radojevic added for TV Prva, Serbs are only there for the international community to show how so-called Kosovo is a multiethnic state.
Radojevic said that with all the incidents during the one-month campaign, the turnout and the results of the local elections were at a satisfactory level.
Radojevic stressed that it was very difficult to focus on elections when special units invaded northern Kosovo on September 20, followed by another attack on October 13, during which Srecko Sofronijevic was wounded.
"Cooperation with the central institution in Pristina, to be honest, almost does not exist. Their actions showed what their intentions towards Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are," said Radojevic.
He added that the situation in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica is calm and stable today, but there is anxiety among citizens because of anticipation of new moves by the authorities from Pristina.
"(Albin) Kurti lost in these local elections, he did not win in any municipality. That's a heavy blow for him and his party, which according to a kind of constant practice, reflects in moves made against Serbs," said Radojevic.
