Those who reach this place will be rewarded: Prskalo waterfall is the gem of Kucaj

On the slopes of the southern part of the Kucaj mountain range there is a waterfall which is rightly considered as one of the most interesting in our country. The waterfall called Prskalo can be reached only after good preparation, which is why it is still, although the most beautiful, unknown to many.

Fortunately or not, it was precisely the fairly impassable, inadequately marked dirt road leading to it that almost certainly protected it to a great extent.

If you look at this waterfall, located in the valley of the Nekudovo River, you can easily notice similarities with the image of a mammoth or an elephant. But, even if it doesn't remind you of those animals, there is no doubt that it will enchant you, as, after all, it has done all those who had the opportunity to visit.

An unusual natural phenomenon in southern Kucaj

Although it cannot be said that it is particularly rich in water, the waterfall is especially interesting because it does not dry out even during the hot summer months.

This is a specific natural formation, since tufa deposits are present. It is those that have formed cup-shaped rocks over the centuries. The water that settles at the top falls from a height of about 15 meters and makes the waterfall, symbolically called Prskalo ("Sprayer" in Serbian), so interesting.

In the spring when nature flourishes, the road to this place is almost impassable, except for true adventurers.

Otherwise, Prskalo can be reached from Resavica, about 30 kilometers away from Despotovac. The road to the waterfall is about 13 kilometers from Resavica.

What you should take into account if you decide to go to this destination, is that there is no cell phone coverage on the way to the waterfall and in its surroundings, so you should come well prepared. All the more so since the path to the waterfall is not properly marked. But if you get along well in nature, you will be rewarded with an incredibly beautiful sight.
