The director of KBC Bezanijska Kosa, Dr. Marija Zdravkovic, says that vaccination is imperative when it comes to organizing health services, and survival.

"All those who are now hospitalized but have not been vaccinated, regret it. Some say that they have not been vaccinated because they have allergies, so a doctor recommended not to get the jab, but that is not written anywhere," Dr. Zdravkovic stresses.

She explained that there are some stages of other diseases, such as acute malignant conditions, when the patient should not receive the vaccine.

"That is why an examination is done at all vaccination spots. If a doctors says that they should not be vaccinated, the patient must ask for that in writing, and then seek advice from the doctor at the vaccination spot," the director of the KBC pointed out.

According to her, the mortality rate  is much lower in this than in previous waves, and the vaccine is to be credited the most for that.

"Vaccinated people have much stronger immunity. With vaccination, we managed to transfer coronavirus into a course of the disease as if it were any other virus, but we have a number of people, mostly young people, who have not been vaccinated, and who exhibit a more severe clinical picture," says the director of KBC Bezanijska Kosa.

She stressed that according to a survey conducted in the hospital, a majority of those who fell ill and had not been vaccinated stated that they had made a mistake.

"The problem is in the lies that are spread on social networks. People are increasingly realizing that they should get vaccinated and those who have recovered should be immunized, because they can get Covid-19 for a second time," says Dr. Zdravkovic.

She stressed that coronavirus can completely destroy immunity.

"It is necessary to get vaccinated even if you recovered from Covid, but not earlier than a month after complete recovery and also it's best to do it before three months have expired," advises Dr. Zdravkovic.

She added that there is no need to check antibodies, because, according to her, there are a large number of people who allegedly had a high level of antibodies and nevertheless got Covid-19 again.

The director of KBC Bezanijska Kosa also referred to vaccination of pregnant women, emphasizing that immunization is completely safe for this category of the population.

"It's a misconception and a lie that the vaccine against coronavirus virus affects fertility. I know of many examples of women who became pregnant after vaccination," concluded Dr. Zdravkovic.
