Well-known lawyer Tom Fila spoke about the case of the murder of the three-member Djokic family - Goran, Gordana and their daughter Lidija - and explained that if the killer is not found in the first two or three days, in 99% of cases, it becomes increasingly difficult.

"Not one, but several persons participated in the murders of the Djokics. From everything I have learned, I can conclude that the crime was planned in detail. This is not about some naive killers, but about professionals. Judging by everything the killers should be sought among Djokic's relatives and acquaintances," Fila explains for Blic.

According to him, the killers knew Goran's habits exactly, where he went, how long he stayed, who he trusted the most and what he feared.

"There are several theories, that Djokic was stopped that night by a man who was disguised as a police officer, that he was stopped by a relative or an acquaintance who he could not turn down. I think Goran was killed immediately and the killer continued to drive his car. Everything related to this case was planned in detail. The bodies of the Djokics were burned at one location, and the car at another. The killers knew how to destroy DNA traces from car, but also from the victims. That is why I claim that they are professionals, not laymen," says Fila.

At the same time, he claims that the police have already clarified everything they can and that they are working seriously on this case. They tracked down the car that Djokic was driving and all its movements, but their job is made more difficult by the fact that the evidence in the car has all burned down.

"Had it been a badly planned case or if these were some unprofessional killers, they would taken off the jewelry that the Djokics were wearing. However, the victims were identified precisely based on their jewelry. They only took the money they needed. I worked on several cases where the killer was discovered when they took jewelry from the victim and sold it after the crime. That would be one of irrefutable pieces of evidence," explains Fila.

Considering how many police officers are involved in this case, Fila is convinced that the circle of suspects is narrowing and that they will not evade the law.

"I am firmly convinced that the killers should be sought among the Djokics' relatives and his closest associates. A man like Djokic would not stop for somebody he doesn't know in the middle of the night," claims Fila.

He is sure that this crime was committed for material gains, our out of revenge. Adultery as a motive in this case is the least likely.

"As for the killers, I don't think they left Serbia. Every murderer thinks that they will not be arrested because if they believed otherwise, they would not have committed the crime. The sentence means nothing because they are certain they will not be discovered. I am sure that a single killer could not do this, so I think that the Djokics were killed with two weapons," explains Fila.

Our well known lawyer, however, thinks that the police will soon shed light on this crime because many people are working on it and that the murderers made some mistake, since there's no such thing as a perfect crime.
